One of the most influential and groundbreaking bands to rise from the British punk scene in the late '70s was GANG OF FOUR. To Celebrate the 40th Anniversary since the release of their debut album Entertainment! they will play the album in full + other Hits; I Love a Man in Uniform, What We All Want, Paralysed, To Hell With Poverty and more!
Kurt Cobain (listed Entertainment! as 13th on his Top 50 Favourite Albums in his journal.
Michael Hutchence cited GANG OF FOUR as a major influence on INXS (Anthrax was used in Richard Lowenstein’s movie Dogs in Space which featured Michael Hutchence). They were also influential on the likes Fugazi, Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand.
In this episode I talk to Andy Gill from the band “Gang Of Four”.
We talk about his upcoming tour of Australia in November, plus we get to break down his style of playing, thanks to a Youtube clip that is in the show notes, and his influences.
Andy also gives us his break down of the guitar as an instrument with some great tips.

In this episode I talk to Cliff Evans from the band “TANK”.
For their first time in Australia -Tank, bring their heavy artillery Downunder!!! Formed in 1980, Tank has often been compared to British brothers Motörhead - both being trios, fronted by singing bassists, with a loose, grinding, punk-metal sound and gravelly vocals.
